Hi, I’m Vince Lambert.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to serve people—whether I’m teaching, speaking, counseling, writing, or sitting with someone who simply needs a listening ear. I’m passionate about helping leaders grow into their God-given calling and walking with people as they discover what’s possible when they trust God with their lives.
For nearly three decades, I’ve had the privilege of serving the local church in a variety of roles, including Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, church planter, and conference speaker. Before our merger with Chicago Embassy Church, I spent several years leading River Oaks Community Church in South Holland, Illinois. Along the way, I’ve also taught at institutions such as Moody Bible Institute, Trinity International University, and North Park University, as well as several other schools where I was able to invest in future leaders.
One of the most meaningful aspects of my life is serving as a Chaplain in the Illinois Army National Guard. I’ve walked alongside soldiers and their families through seasons of celebration as well as moments of deep pain. In 2020, I deployed to Ukraine as part of the European Deterrence Initiative—an experience that profoundly reshaped how I understand people, purpose, and God’s presence in difficult places. A significant part of my work as a Chaplain involves helping service members strengthen their relationships—whether married or single—through practical, honest, and compassionate conversations.
Before entering full-time ministry, I spent over twenty years in the business world working in finance, investments, and bank management. Those years shaped my leadership, discipline, and understanding of how faith and everyday life intersect. My academic journey reflects that same breadth, including studies in finance, business, ministry, and counseling. I’m currently completing my Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling, and I have also earned graduate degrees including an MBA, an MA in Religion and Urban Ministry, and an MA in Human Services Counseling (Marriage and Family).
Discipling men has always been close to my heart. Out of that desire, “The Mancave” was created—a space where men can grow spiritually, be honest about their struggles, and discover the purpose God has planted within them.
Today, I partner with pastors and churches to help build healthy teams and thriving congregations. I also train leaders both locally and internationally in areas such as emotional intelligence, pastoral counseling, marriage enrichment, suicide intervention, and spiritual formation. My book, 30 Days Ablaze, was written to help believers cultivate a deeper, daily walk with Christ—one intentional step at a time.
Most importantly, I’m a husband and a father. I’ve been married to my wife, LaTonia, for 29 years, and we are grateful parents to our two sons, Joshua and John. They are my greatest gifts and remain my most important ministry.
